Privacy Policy

LucidTracker is a companion app for Lucid Motors owners. To do its job, it reads data from your vehicle — including where it is, how it is charging, and how it is driving. Here is the plain-English summary:
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
- Automatic vehicle data collection is opt-in. If you never connect your Lucid account, we only store what you type in yourself.
- If you do connect it, we log your vehicle's location. Auto-Sync records where your car is each time it checks in. LucidTracker+ additionally records your full driving route.
- You can turn it off at any time from Account Settings, which deletes your stored Lucid credentials and stops collection.
- Community statistics are anonymous by default. Your name only appears publicly if you choose to set a display name. Leave it blank, or clear it, and your contributions stay anonymous.
The rest of this page is the detailed version. Nothing below contradicts the summary above.
- Account Information: When you log in, we receive your full name and email address from the authentication provider.
- Vehicle & Order Information: The data you voluntarily enter, such as your vehicle model, year, software version, order details, and any notes you add.
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): Used for ownership verification and accurate bug reporting. It is stored securely and never displayed publicly.
- Display Name & Preferences: Any display name, country and review visibility settings, notification preferences, and electricity rate schedules you configure.
- Feedback, Bug Reports & Support Tickets: The name, email, message, and any photos you submit.
Automatic vehicle data collection requires you to connect your Lucid Motors account. This is entirely optional and off by default.
- Your Lucid email address and password are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored. They are not readable by administrators in plain text.
- Credentials are used solely to authenticate with Lucid's systems on your behalf and keep your vehicle data current. We do not use them to send commands to your vehicle.
- Short-lived access and refresh tokens are stored so we do not have to re-authenticate on every check-in.
- You can remove your credentials at any time from Account Settings. This permanently deletes them from our systems and stops all automatic collection.
LucidTracker is not affiliated with Lucid Motors, and vehicle data is retrieved through an unofficial interface. See our Terms of Service for what that means for you.
What we collect depends on whether you have connected your Lucid account and whether you subscribe to LucidTracker+.

| Charge session records (location, energy added, rate, cost) | — | No | Yes |
Check-in intervals are approximate. We reduce polling frequency when your vehicle is asleep or parked for extended periods, and temporarily increase it during DC fast charging.
Location is the most sensitive category of data we handle, so we want to be specific about it.
- With Auto-Sync enabled, we record your vehicle's latitude, longitude, and elevation every time we check in. Over time this builds a history of where your vehicle has been parked, including places you visit regularly.
- With LucidTracker+, we additionally record a continuous GPS trace while you drive, at roughly 30-second intervals, and store the resulting route. Each completed trip stores a start and end address, the full route geometry, and elevation profile.
- Charge sessions record the coordinates where charging took place so sessions can be matched to charging stations.
- Your location history is private to your account. It is not shown to other users, and it is not published on the Charging Map or leaderboards in a form tied to you.
- Coordinates are sent to third-party mapping services to convert them into addresses and to align GPS traces to roads. See Section 6.
- To stop location collection entirely, remove your Lucid credentials in Account Settings. There is no way to use Auto-Sync or LucidTracker+ without location collection, because location is what makes trip and charging features work.
- Donations and LucidTracker+ subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details on our servers.
- We receive transaction confirmation and subscription status from Stripe to manage your account access.
- Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled. Review it at stripe.com/privacy.
LucidTracker runs on third-party infrastructure and uses third-party services to deliver certain features. These providers process data on our behalf:
- Base44 — application hosting and primary database.
- Railway — hosting for our database, data services, and the servers that communicate with Lucid on your behalf.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — receives trip start and end coordinates to convert them into readable place names.
- OSRM (routing.openstreetmap.de, operated by FOSSGIS) — receives GPS route coordinates to align recorded traces to actual roads. This is a publicly operated community routing service.
- Open Charge Map — receives charging session coordinates to identify which charging station and network a session belongs to.
Coordinates sent to mapping and routing services are transmitted without your name, email, VIN, or account identifier attached. Those services operate under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We do not send your credentials, payment details, or account information to any of them.
Data is stored and processed on servers located in the United States.
LucidTracker aggregates data across vehicles to produce community insights — model and software version distribution, battery health trends, charging station reliability and charging curves, and efficiency leaderboards.
- Anonymous by default. Contributed data appears without your name unless you have set a display name in Account Settings. If you have not set one, your data appears as "Anonymous" or similar.
- If you set a display name, it appears publicly alongside statistics such as trip efficiency, distance, and vehicle model. Your display name is used site-wide — on leaderboards, charging station reviews, badge rankings, and fleet analytics pages. Your VIN, exact addresses, home location, and raw GPS traces are never published.
- LucidTracker+ subscribers contribute anonymous charging and trip statistics to fleet analytics as a core part of the tier.
- Free users may opt in per-vehicle by enabling Trailblazer mode in My Garage.
- Charging station data we publish — such as observed charging speeds at a given station — reflects pooled sessions from multiple vehicles and is not attributed to individual users.
You can remove public attribution at any time by clearing your display name in Account Settings, which makes your contributions appear anonymously everywhere on the site. You can stop future contribution by disabling Trailblazer mode, cancelling your subscription, or disconnecting your Lucid account. See Section 9 for what happens to data already contributed.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Certain information submitted through this platform may be shared directly with Lucid Motors for the benefit of the Lucid owner community:
- Bug Reports: Diagnostic information such as your vehicle's software version, VIN, and a description of the issue may be forwarded to Lucid Motors to help them identify and resolve vehicle software issues. You are informed of this when submitting a report.
- Community Surveys & Feedback: Aggregated or anonymized results may be shared with Lucid Motors to help improve their vehicles and software.
We do not share your location history, trip records, or credentials with Lucid Motors. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties for commercial purposes.
- While your account is active, we retain your vehicle history, trips, charge sessions, and location records so the historical views and analytics in the app continue to work. We do not currently auto-expire this history.
- When you delete your account, we delete your personal data — account details, VIN, credentials, trips, charge sessions, GPS traces, and location history — within 30 days.
- When you remove your Lucid credentials, the credentials are deleted immediately and collection stops. Previously collected history remains attached to your account until you delete the account itself.
- Payment and transaction records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
Important: aggregated data is not reversible
Statistics that were already contributed to community features while you were using the service — leaderboard records, fleet averages, charging station curves and reliability scores, and other pooled analytics — remain in the platform permanently and are not removed when you delete your account, cancel your subscription, or opt out.
Once contributed, this data is aggregated and de-identified, and cannot be traced back to you or extracted from the pooled results. Any public attribution to your display name is removed when you delete your account or clear your display name, but the underlying anonymous data point stays in the community statistics.

California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. You can exercise these rights through the contact methods above.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Precise geolocation is treated as sensitive personal information. We use it only to provide the features described in this policy and do not use or disclose it for any purpose that would require an opt-out right under California law.
Lucid account credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Other data — including vehicle telemetry, trips, and location history — is stored in access-controlled databases but is not individually encrypted at the field level.
We apply industry-standard security practices, but no system is completely secure. In the event of a breach, your Lucid password would remain protected by encryption, but other stored data could potentially be exposed. We will notify affected users of any breach involving their personal data as required by applicable law. By enabling Auto-Sync you acknowledge and accept this data storage model and its inherent risks.
LucidTracker is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to what we collect or how we use it, we will provide notice within the app. Your continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your data, can be submitted through the feedback form on the "How To & Help" page or by opening a support ticket from within the app. These are the designated channels for privacy requests, and both reach the operator directly.
